Travis has released.
I still think Astroworld is probably the furthest he pushed his sound (in its then current iteration). And im not just talking about the commercial reception or how it was received. I think the album itself (with the exception of a few tracks——-mainly Who? What?, NC-17, Butterfly effect (given its age when it was placed on the album) were all tracks that he’s dreamed of making since Lovesick and A***og.
just my thoughts
Facts is Travis had everything to release bland albums since he is huge mainstream and kids would buy anyway but he still pushes his sound ahead in each album. His discog is awesome

Did you feel AstroWorld was bland?
Birds underrated/overhated tbh

it's fairly judged as an average album. the worst songs (first take, sweet sweet, guidance, lose) are REALLY bad and there are lots of them
the best songs (coordinate, the ends, putp) are really good but there aren't nearly enough of them
Did you feel AstroWorld was bland?
Of course not. That's what I'm saying, usually when artists get too big they stop caring about evolving and only release bland s***, but Travis was never affected by that, all his albums solid and constantly evolving

I agree but it’s Utopia that Travis touched the level of rawness of songs like lovesick & A***og.
Circus Maximus, Modern Jam, & Hyaena,; songs that are the professionalization of the OG Owl Pharoah. Sampled Kanye Drums, Vocal Chops, Massive synths, bodacious & random lyrics

Bro did you not hear Sirens?
Travis is definitely an album artist. All of his bodies of work stand the test of time.

This is what I appreciate. He's still grandiose, and goes for different sounds. A true Ye disciple.

you didn't mention sirens that's literally the one exception

I wouldn’t say all..

Trav has never missed on a solo project at all
They ain't ready to give him his flowers

The biggest problem with Astroworld and Utopia is how long they are
They both got a handful of tracks that could’ve been cut, Especially on Utopia

Both shorter than Rodeo tho
Both shorter than Rodeo tho
Rodeo is an hour and 5 minutes without the bonus tracks which makes utopia longer
But yeah it’s not really about the overall length of the album. It’s about having underdeveloped tracks and tracks that feel kinda thrown on
I guess I kinda worded that wrong in my original post
