Carti should've dropped WLR in April or May when he dropped @ meh. it would've sold at least 150k, and done huge things for his career. He was getting MASSIVE uncalled hate for @ Meh, and ended up getting it again for the release of WLR, either route he went, people were going to hate--this was the most hyped up rap album since EA.

Even though I love the reworked album we got, he could've just dropped this come summer 2021.

remember how big Carti's #'s on Spotify were back then in May? they were at 17 million a month after @ meh; they're at 9 million 6 weeks after WLR.

Facts

I love the album but with the amount of material he's made post-Die Lit It'd have been smarter to have dropped it across two projects rather than one

As you say, V2 should have dropped following @ Meh

And then he should have begun to push the Vampire theme harder up until when he started collab'ing with F1lthy & Ye and dropped a more concise version of what we got on Christmas - the jump into this sound he's rocking with now would have been less jarring for the casual listeners

Yeah we can hope, I can see the deluxe being made up of 70% of the material he originally had set to make the V2 track-list since he's now aware that we're after snippets like Tryna Get Down, Money & D****, 500 Degrees, Pop Our Pills, Homicide etc etc.

The other 30% is hopefully some material he's cooking up with F1lthy right now, as it seems he loves that sound a lot and it'd create a sense of continuity between the original album and the deluxe
