Insecurity is the only legitimate answer. He has had several versions completed and scrapped due to public perception. Every single time a feature or live performance happens, he “tests the waters” and sees feedback. This postpones his release window every single time

bringing this back one more time. can’t think of any better reasoning behind the delays, or lack of album^^^^^

Am I wrong in thinking the music during that late 2023 - beef stretch was universally praised?

It's probably just good old fashion r-wordation

Keep seeing people say this, so just wanted to clarify:

He doesn’t have to refund anything. The 6 month window is just the eligibility period for pre-order sales to count on Billboard. If the album drops after March 12th, then all of the pre-order sales made before then just won’t count towards the album’s first week sales. But that has nothing to do with refunds at all. That decision will be entirely up to him and his team.

the 12th will come and go, and orders will continue to be “Order placed”

  • I will continue to kick the can down the road, and run with a “March release.”

Happening said so, and he’s been reliable in the past

idk I have a hard time believing there wouldn’t be any sort of consequence for stating a clear window for delivering a product that’s been paid for and not following through lol

just out of curiosity, do the sales apply to the 2nd week or where do they go? His team is absolutely dumb for this lol

Product delays and shipping estimates get missed all the time in the music industry. The only actual consequence they’d face is that the sales made before March 12th won’t count

I’m pretty sure they don’t count at all, otherwise it would just create a massive inorganic second week sales boost

Nah he clearly loves being elusive and having people constantly tell him to drop, his fans feed into this corny gimmick too

Not even close to his most egregious stunts tbh I genuinely expected nothing

A little surprised that he could get Spotify to attach their reputation to this knowing his history tho

At what point is "i bought merchandise that i was told would be shipped by now and it hasn't been shipped nor have i been refunded" a legitimate claim Interscope will have to deal with?

Unfortunately shipping delays and estimated dates being missed are extremely commonplace in the music industry. Carti is not the first and won’t be the last

ppl knew this but were just latching onto any sort of hope tht the album would potentially drop soon
