I'm def on the positive side for sure as far as first reactions

no matter what Carti for me is always gonna have this addictive like quality to his music regardless of his stylistic shifts that not even his offsprings can replicate

i will say that this does feel a lot more... "messier" than any of his previous works which idk how that'll translate in the long run

I agree, it feels like an unfinished mixtape

The mixing is bad and seemingly rushed, as is the tracklist

There's no particular lows for me right now, but there are a good amount of mediocre songs to me that feel like him on autopilot, along with far too many shoehorned features

But then again the highs are so good

It sounds like 3 different versions of the same album to me, with all 3 not being fully fleshed out, like he couldn't decide on what direction to go in

But maybe...that's the whole point. Carti is MUSIC...he can do it all. Any sound, whether it's a generic pop hit like the Weeknd collab, experimental d***ged out anthems like OPM BABI, sampling SGP as a mainstream artist in 2025, making ballads, or introspective songs that feature his lyrical pen that was demonstrated in his early works like Terror S*** and Cry
