The virus has a incubation period of 7-21 days meaning it lays undetected in your body you can speed it but you don’t know you have it until symptoms show up at the end of the incubation period, also it’s spreading mainly in gay men yes that is true but you have to remember anyone can get it via close skin to skin contact like handshakes or close up face to face air respiratory symptoms.
