I got LASIK back in 2012, and while I don't necessarily regret it, I feel like the long term effects weren't fully spelled out for me back in the day.
The eye dryness these days, honestly, is pretty nuts - drops every morning, a different type of drop in the afternoon, occasionally more in the evening, and then I have to sleep with a sort of gel on my eyes at night.
And even then, that just gets me to like, manageable levels of dryness. Ain't no going back, or undoing it, or fixing it - this is basically what I'm stuck with, according to the specialists, unless I wanna surgically insert silicone tubes into my tearducts to potentially improve the situation.
Damn bruh I’ll just wear glasses

Damn, man. Sorry to hear about ur experience fr.
LASIK is one of the worst mistakes you can make in life

Thanks man. S***'s not TOO bad most of the time as long as I'm on top of everything, I just gotta remind myself all the time that there are people who ended up in worse situations, so at the end of the day I'll be aight.
From what I've heard I wouldn't recommend it, and age is a factor too. Apparently if you get it under 25 it doesn't work so good, I know a guy who got it at around 20-21 but his vision got worse again after like 3 years
look into getting SMILE instead, much newer and safer than LASIK. bunch of friends + family members got it and have had no issues

best money I ever spent, worth every dollar. If you already have dry eyes lasik might make it worse though. It's still worth the risk, glasses free life is goated
got it done like 10 years ago and have literally zero side effects. went with the full laser type and it cost me 4k total. very glad I did that s***. had 10/20 vison, twice as good as 20/20. I'm sure it's degraded a little bit now but it still feels perfect to me
Complications are extremely rare.
I got my LASIK done at the Dallas Eye Institute and never had a problem. I’ll compare it to a McDonald’s the way they have so many people in and out of that place.
I had dryness issues pretty early on, but it didn't actually get bad until around the 5-6 year mark I'd say.
Is it dry where you live
Is it dry where you live
Yeah tbh it's relatively dry most of the time here
Wonder what this s*** would be like if I packed up and moved to Florida or Singapore or something

I remember I was living in southern Colorado before I got lasik done and my eyes were pretty dry regardless. I think humidity definitely plays a part
Was considering but then I found a forum of all these people who have had really bad issues. My eyes ain't worth the risk....sticking to glasses/contacts even though it's annoying
I had to try 40+ pairs of glasses until I found ones that actually look good and even got compliments on them. Ik the struggle
Find you a partner that makes saline with a nice feel to it. That nigga knows what's best.
