All the people defending DAMN itt have white women in their most listened artists
I don’t f*** with damn at all tbh but a lot do, whether that’s blind stannary or not who knows

You’ll see that when Kendrick drops two or three more projects they’ll flip on that bullshit album. Only reason they defend it so much is because It’s Kendrick’s last project and because of nostalgia.
Kenny better not come with some bullshit pop radio s*** with his next project tho
Also feel like Kendrick still a little too fresh to be on this list if we just talking solos
But then again he has an album deemed the best rap one in history so guess it balances it out

Nah he definitely deserves to be here, S80-UU an amazing run, one of the best of all time

You may not personally be a fan of it but Kendrick had smash hits on that album. Damn sits in a weird place in his discography because it was created to gain him fans on top of the concept of the album. I think he needed songs like Love, Loyalty, and Humble to really take hold of the mainstream. especially with how many years he's been doing it and how long it takes him to finish an album, these tracks still bring the money in to fund everything else he does and give time for him to make the next LP the best it can be

I mean compared to everyone else on that list he’s still green tbh
But you not wrong, it’s a great run
A Tribe Called Quest
Honestly would take Kendrick out for now and add Tribe & Common

I feel the same way tbh. not enough music output in terms of rate over time. personally I would put Mos Def over Kendrick.
“questionable taste”
F*** out of here trying to talk about hip hop b****
Last 2 weeks lol, but keep crying.
That’s just wrong tho and we should be working to put an end to that misconception
That’s not what it means at all. There’s no way anyone should be rating Wayne’s artistry strictly off studio albums. Especially now and seeing how the line between mixtape and studio album is nonexistent.
All of that s*** is discography
Pretty sure discography comes from the word disc
If it ain’t on disc it don’t count

I definetely understand why Kendrick dropped that album, he got the bag and became a global superstar. I just think that those pop rap radio songs didn't age well at all, we aren't in 2017 anymore and that s*** aint hot no more lmao. Kendrick's not made for commercial music, it sounds forced as f*** imo.
The whole DAMN era was a masterclass in marketing and aesthetics tho, the videos, fits and tour were all insane. The project had like 4-5 amazing songs too, just wish he didn't force that mainstream s*** but well, he got the bag so I respect that.
If jay Z up there it gotta be drake
Mid projects from Jay Z:
The Best of Both Worlds
Unfinished Business
Blueprint 2
Blueprint 3
Kingdom Come
Magna Carta Holy Grail
Vol 3
Everything Is Love
Collision Course

c'mon man. you know there's not many fans out here who really give a f*** about a "disc" in 2021. even in the limewire days or the era when dudes were out the trunk with it, everything you put out matters. I'm sure the demo tape that changed Eminem's life has a bunch of songs that nobody knows to this day
They ain’t even really listening to them like that, they be leaving their Spotify on repeat to gas up their profile
