american manufacturers tried making cheap small cars for years and consumers over and over again chose to pay more for a slightly larger and taller crossover equivalent model instead. it's kind of a chicken or egg situation where people stopped buying small cars so manufacturers stopped selling them or vice versa.

Tbf debt was cheap for nearly 2 decades it let American consumers afford nicer/bigger models but I get what you’re saying. I think increased reliability let consumers choose to buy used nicer models too rather than a cheap new model

Vettes are so common. I dont get the appeal. Every old man is pulling out in one every Sunday.

I love this car, manual, turbo, lightweight, nimble & easy to park in cities, but godDAMN it’s a money pit lol

was going to name her but Mini/Minnie is a cute enough name lowkey

bought her last year off of a senior citizen lol who put on the checkerboard top himself and had it immaculately maintained himself

lived out of it a lil bit lowkey this year & was able to rely on it for everything I needed despite its size

super fun to drive, makes me appreciate the slow lane while being almost unrivaled in corners

my second mini (*I neglected my first one, R53 )

    I love this car

No? You don't have too. Vettes are an extremely common car.

The appeal? $ to performance ratio is like second to none. Looks like a supercar but is fairly reliable and much cheaper to maintain, and cheaper to buy. V8 sounds are still awesome, sadly the latest gen got rid of manual but the fact we still get this car at all is great.

Idc if I see them everywhere, still love to see them in 2025.
