I couldn't care less about a new Ab Soul album in 2022, but Earl has kept my attention for a decade now.

    Neither is “popping” like that

    You couldn’t be more wrong

Yes neither is “popping” like that

But if we’re being real, Earl is the only underground king of the two

No one who wasn’t into the mixtape scene in 2012 cares about soul

i don’t think they occupy the same space. Earl was deadass a child star and outrapping most niggas at 16. this might sound crazy but i think him and chief keef more similar than him and soul

Soul just doesn’t belong in the same category as anyone with a semi successful career

Soul should be compared to Raury and Charles Hamilton before Earl. I love soul but he’s one of the biggest failures in hip hop history

i wouldn’t go that far he at least dropped a couple albums and for someone who never signed to a major i think he had a decent career. he could’ve done more but charles hamilton just straight up fell off the face of the earth

i feel like control system was pretty successful

but i do remember he tried to go a lil more mainstream with "these days" but it didnt really seem like it panned out even though i liked that album

biggest failure in hiphop history is kinda hyperbolic tho

what about that kid justus who dr dre was tryna hype up

After that he fell off the face of the earth for the general public
