Exactly why I don't like it that much lol, especially because Peggy knowingly feeds into the very fanbase and demographic he says he's railing against with his music/art lol. It's so overdramatic and self-indulgent at times and the music just doesn't match the energy he's trying to convey

Spot on. I feel like jpeg is trying so hard at this point. He is a very gifted and strong producer(probably in my top 5 just for DreamCast Summer Songs and All My Heroes alone) but he has to drop this schtick for god's sake.

LP! was a very beautiful album and I was delighted to hear the dreamy vaporwave vibes on the album, i'm wishing his next project is more like Ghost Pop and Dreamcast rather than STHs.

It's telling that his favorite artist is Kanye lol. Ye deliberately courts peoples attention and then once he gets it tries to piss them off and then once he does he eventually regrets it and tries to get their attention again and then gets bored of the attention and the cycle restarts itself. Peggy is like that with white liberals lol, it's like he wants to annoy them but stunt on them musically and once he pulls that off and doesn't end up infuriating them because he's highkey pandering to them in his music consciously or otherwise, he gets mad and makes an entire damn album trying to diss those exact people, only to try to win their attention once again

I love Ghais Guevara lol. JPEG always made his "political" angles so superficial and fashionable, whereas you can tell Ghais has a deep and passionate understanding of the political theories and issues he discusses
