  • Meaning you deliver when the lights shine brightest. Cause it's one thing to drop your magnum opus as a debut after collecting hits all your life but to drop classic when it's most anticipated is GOAT activity

    I'd argue it's between and :

They share WTT, the most important moment of the 2010s

Hov dropped Blueprint and Black Album when he was rightfully considered best rapper alive

And Kanye dropped nothing but classics* (Graduation commerical classic) up until Saint Pablo , 3-4 of which where the most anticipated in that year

Kendrick lamar. I dont know if the pressure was ever on more than in that battle in 2024. And dude slaughtered it.

He had so much hype and delivered in 2012 with one of the goat debut albums in gkmc.

Put out the control verse that put everyone on notice to where every rapper was jumping on a remix or finding a response.

Then delivered with an even better album in tpab, thats regarded nowadays as a top 15 album ever.

Then he somehow followed up with a pulitzer prize winning album with DAMN

Then got into a fued with the biggest rapper on earth who was aggressively calling him out and then dismantled him.

Followed it up immediately with a victory album that also won a Grammy.

    Like breh. EASILY kendrick.

    Nah fam
The beef was kinda one sided
People wanted anybody to destroy Drake and Kendrick was seen as a vehicle for it

Kendrick only really had the Pressure on him in the lead to GKMC and probably to TPAB
but after those two back to back, he was pretty solidified if you ask me

Kanye has a way more trouble filled history and a need to prove something with his albums

As “comeback albums” I personally think BP2 is better than Dark fantasy

You can argue Kanye during graduation.

Facing 50 cent in front of the world, outselling him and outdoing him musically in every way

Graduation is still thought of as one of if not his greatest album

Kanye has been solidified since college dropout lol.

His biggest clutch moments are because of the dumb s*** HE started.

Him being mean to a white girl and needing to make a masterpiece to make up for it.

Then after Pablo he failed to ever make it back to the top. Then continually failed his fans by becoming more grotesque as a person every couple years. Mid ass projects from ye to donda to trash with vultures and vultures 2. Even now, people arent sure how much bully is comprised of Ai and even the Ai version was better than what we got.

You cant be the biggest clutch artist if you failed to succeed for nearly a decade

Kenny is a obvious good answer except hes not rly known for features and he can be too advanced to the point where the verse dont hit

A true rap journeyman is someone like wayne, anyone from LOX or wutang, future or 2 chainz etc
