8th Most listened to artist on Spotify, #2 album on the billboard, three #1 songs, multiple songs with hundreds of millions of streams, grammies, VMAs,
Just goes to show you can never predict a career. Nigga came out with a novelty meme country rap song then 2 years later he's one of the biggest artists in the world.
I really thought he was gonna be a one hit wonder like Sheck Wes
Now I gotta have to deal with his music being played around here
He hasn’t had a single misstep, all of his attempts at controversy work exactly as he plans and just blows him up even more
Not surprised ngl

Sheck played himself being an abuser
Yeah we gotta let his career pan out a little further. He played the gay card very well and got his accolades but he can’t do the same trick over again
dude w the most artificial come up ever, now rocking adobe and taco bell commercials. what’s surprising?
Who couldn't have? His flamboyant ways is as 2021 as it gets for an artist he's exactly what studios are looking for lmao
He is made for this era! Not taking nothing away from his ability to make music because the songs are good.
This is what labels will look for next! content creators with a bit of talent!
He hasn’t had a single misstep, all of his attempts at controversy work exactly as he plans and just blows him up even more
Right on, dude has really been using gimmicks as his crutch. His music suck ass
tbh i think the way his career is going is anything but surprising, its going they way i thought it would go
He's got an easily digestible sound, and around the time of OTR nobody even knew what dude sound was. I mean he made a song where the hook is 'Panini don't be a meanie' not hard to see his sound is pretty accessible.
He reminds me of Soulja Boy in the sense that he’s been masterful in taking advantage of the current landscape of technology. Music aside he’s phenomenal when it comes to promoting himself and his brand.
Edit:To expand on the reminds me of Soulja Boy comment for people who were around before that time and after that time know that it was literally a paradigm shift in how music was received after Soulja Boy. I could see a similar trajectory for the ‘20 after LNX laid the blueprint of how to be a successful artist in this climate

I don't like either of their music and I think Nas makes catchier stuff, but Sheck Wes seemed like he had a lil fanbase going into his first tape. If you asked whether it would be him or lil nas to have a big career I would've bet on Sheck

Lol that’s not what I was saying. The music is good too but I’m doubtful call me by your name would be #1 without all that satan s***, literally the oldest trick in the book to spark controversy and it still worked
