does he win a prize if he proves the point?
Definitely Thug, I remember Trav was actually pretty slept on by the masses until Antidote. And even then, the larger then life Trav we know today didn’t start until after Birds was released.
I remember loving Antidote when it dropped as a loosie in June 2015 and playing it for my best friend Tyrique and him being like “wtf is this s***”.
Almost 6 years later and Trav is one of his favorites now. Crazy when you ahead of the masses and you see the potential before it’s fully realized.
Travis started being more popular after Rodeo, Thug had so many unreleased tracks leaked and barter 6 released
Thug was bigger until rodeo dropped, switched up late 2016

Wild though cause the trends make it look like thug isn't as popular now as he was in 2015 which isn't true lmao
the bliss of post rich gang leading into barter 6 thugger versus a cool 2 chainz verse? easy answer
depends on which side of rap...
THAT era of trap music: Thug
The other side: black middle class frat boy music / "creative vision" yeezy inspired instagram polarization before it became overkill in recent years: Travis

Dam niggas can’t have conversations wit they friends?
They were about equal with Thug having more buzz because he had just did a rollout

p much this until fall 2015 when Antidote really blew
If we're talking mainstream (IE popular culture so not just rap) Thug was bigger in 2015 but I think Travis Scott's peak was higher with Sicko Mode. Even then a lot of people only knew of Young Thug because of his verse on Lifestyle which people pretended they couldn't understand.
