Not like niggas didnt think Kanye was dope but Kanye only had like 3 albums out at this point there was no MBDTF yet , the Hov comparison is more about his dominance and his consistency in every category I understand the argument of Hov never being the #1 guy but I feel like hes gonna be a top 5 guy in every category a rapper has at least back then that was the case. On top of that I do feel like Hov never being that nigga is kinda falsely told by numbers like yeah Nelly and Em were selling more than Hov but Hov was still that nigga to the demographic who actually determined s*** in the culture.
