You're just being the stereotype I'm referring to
Mm sold 300k fw and was a number 1
People I talk to in real life were talking about it, and dudes that don't even listen to rap listened to it and talked to me about it.
Hillbillies is up for a Grammy
Ye pac made better music
Subjective. Ye has a more versatile catalogue but Kendrick doesn’t have one miss and has multiple classics

I can't stand a large amount of pacs music but I think the question in the thread is about things way beyond that
Pac isn't remembered for all of his music, he's moreso remembered for his impact on society. That's why we don't hear remotely close to the amount of songs from 2pac as 50 cent out in public in 2023 but we get threads like this instead of ones about 50 cent. (There's better comparisons, I'm aware)
Pac was way beyond music for most things that mattered. We never hear of the political tales of biggie, but we definitely hear Big poppa more than changes
The thing about pac is that he was a part of a huge ass movement at the end of the day and his overall contributions to rap are less important than what else he achieved. Even if he's a great ass rapper with classics regardless
That's why I think it's silly to degrade this topic to who made more music that more average people enjoyed. It's kind of disrespectful to pac imo to turn this discussion into that. And I know you are not the one trying to do that.
The thread didn't ask "who in the 2010s sounded closest to pac" - that's a whole other topic

Yeah PAC was more of an icon than anything and I believe his character and persona outweighs a lot of his musical talent and accomplishments. He’s up there with MJ,and John Lennon.

Exactly, a question on who is a modern pac has very little on music itself
no other answer and if you disagree you do NOT know about pac as a figure

i’ve grown up hearing Pac’s music played in public more than 50’s music so idk what you’re talking about there
unless you mean like on TikTok (which i’m not on at all) or something lol

i agree that he transcends music, which is why the need to compare every flavor of the month rapper to him is f***ing tired
