One has spent most of his career emulating his idols, getting the right people together at the right time, and stagnated his sound to the point where half his songs don’t have memorable parts from himself anymore.

The other has been an innovator the majority of his career and continues to push and evolve his sound all while making classic music.

I think anyone who says Travis isn’t thinking straight. If you take both most recent releases music (WLR and Mafia for Trav) it’s easy to see which one is exciting and engaging and the other is doing the bare minimum to skate by (and the music is mediocre)

Carti has 1 album Pierre Bourne carried during his wave and 1 important sea change album carried by other producers. I'd call WLR a classic.
