WLR was a cohesive album that pushed boundaries and paved a lane.

Music is an uninspired mess of an album that doesn’t know what it wants to be and feels like it was just thrown together. And the Kendrick verses just feel mad unnecessary. Same old features other than that.

Both had way more potential and could’ve been executed better than the final product but WLR has more of its own sound than music

WLR is better as an album that has a structured sound to it

Music is fun in that it feels like a giant playlist and I like 93% of what is on there

But WLR only had two misses (metamorphises and new tank)

I liked wlr more. Sky s probably carti's best song. Catchy af and he's actually rapping a bit. Think he always should've taken that and formed his style around that more.

Music has some moments but it has way too many songs. Like there's some that I swear he threw together last month.

I liked the way he used other artists on the project and some of the production is fun.

I'm still on the train he's massively overhyped. But on wlr I could at least see where people say he's pushing some boundaries. I don't feel that on this new album. It's a bit all over the place. There's very few new ideas here.

I don't hear the cohesion. I don't hear much structure in these songs, as far as vocally it's just do it to do it. Not so much an artist painting on a canvas as carti just throwing buckets at it while repeating ad libs.

Gotta be WLR but im sure a lot of Music will grow on me.

Carti actually does have potential to do something new, but he seems like he isn't focused at all musically. More just finding cool beats and freestyle s*** with different tonalities to his voice.

Fill me in fr, what is the vision with carti's music that I'm missing. It seems like a jumbled Playlist.

There's some bangers with structure like magnolia and sky that I really like from him, but there's so much of his newer music that every decision feels like an odd choice.

When thug does his different inflections and vocal effects it feels blended to fit the music, while carti feels like he does the s*** to do it and not to the songs benefit.
