A lot of rappers have done that. Most actually
yeah but we're not comparing cudi to a lot of rappers, we're comparing him to travis
Cudi. His verse on Alien showed he can still rap, he just chooses not to. Travis couldn't rap if he tried, not that he needs to or should.

Lmao that's a verse from Owl Pharaoh. Uptown I think. It sounded bad in the context of the album. The fact that he can spit over a boom bap beat is meaningless, anyone can. Spitting on modern production is a lot harder. Not saying he's bad though, he low key went off on Stargazing 2nd half.

Think this came out before Owl Pharaoh
But yeah I think Travis is just lazy and doesn't rap cause he doesn't need to. Not his biggest fan, f*** with Rodeo a lot but everything since been not great IMO

It may have but the verse was on Owl Pharaoh regardless. My point was delivering an interesting and engaging verse in the context of a project is more important to being a good rapper that just spitting some bars at a cypher. Literally anyone can do that.
