I wish a lot of those being vocal about defending Bob werenât being so elitist itt cause theyâre inadvertently discrediting their argument for him (which is a shame cause there is one) but Bob Dylanâs influence isnât as in your face and âyoungâ as MJâs influence, nor is it influential on the type of artists who are in your face all the time like MJ
But the type of influence Bob Dylan had is arguably more potent on a cultural level, and the most major traces of his influence are arguably a bigger deal than the most major traces of MJ influence
This really comes down to: do you value more widespread obvious influence vs do you value influence that isnât as widespread but holds more cultural weight
To make it easier to understand for KTT: whoâs the bigger deal numbers wise between Drake and Adele?
