idk if KTT could answer a question like this mfs don't bump folk like that or understand Dylan's impact
i mean i guess i'll still go MJ but Dylan's legacy and influence is not being captured in this thread at all. Its not the blowout you'd think it is
that's very shocking đ
A (presumably) black Gen zer hiphop fan never hearing a Bob Dylan song is not shocking at all lol
you said bob dylan (legend btw) got more cultural impact than MJ ion gotta read what you type no more
Stay ignorant then.
â he didnât actually write the songs, he thought about them in his head first and then sang them on a voice recorder he always carried with himself.â
He didnât write the songs.
So he came up with entire song compositions/melodies/lyrics but because he didnât literally write them with pen and paper heâs discredited there?
Influential where? No one gives a s*** about Bob Dylan outside of the States
I'm not even from the States. This is bs.
Dylanâs effect on popular music and persona is pretty unparalleled unless you talking mj. Itâs an interesting question but I think you gotta take mj.
the Bob Dylan disrespect really shows how uncultured some of ya'll really are
Nah f*** him lol

He didnât youâre free to keep telling yourself that though.

Also he has plenty of songs where he literally did write the lyrics
Please dont leave that out!
The white boys always expose themselves when you come for their white legends

Dylan gon pass and mfers talkin out they neck in here gonna hit the
I wish a lot of those being vocal about defending Bob werenât being so elitist itt cause theyâre inadvertently discrediting their argument for him (which is a shame cause there is one) but Bob Dylanâs influence isnât as in your face and âyoungâ as MJâs influence, nor is it influential on the type of artists who are in your face all the time like MJ
But the type of influence Bob Dylan had is arguably more potent on a cultural level, and the most major traces of his influence are arguably a bigger deal than the most major traces of MJ influence
This really comes down to: do you value more widespread obvious influence vs do you value influence that isnât as widespread but holds more cultural weight
To make it easier to understand for KTT: whoâs the bigger deal numbers wise between Drake and Adele?
A lot of "rap is like a mountain" type posts in the middle of this thread from exactly who you'd expect lol
I would bet my life that you're a stupid piece of s*** if you don't know who the Beatles, Bob Dylan or Jimi Hendrix are but you listen to someone like Kevin gates or lil uzi vert.
So yeah lack of cultural knowledge makes you a dumb, stupid sack of assfat and you should be ashamed
never that serious
