276,000 in 2016 isn’t the same as 276,000 in 2021. I love Blonde, but it’s hype came from the reception of CO, which is why the album was frontloaded.
..hell it didn’t reach platinum until 2018. the strength of his first week sales were primarily from fans waiting for the follow up to CO released 4 years before that.

Streaming is way bigger now and he wouldn’t have had the Apple Music exclusivity holding him back

Igh I was probably being a bit hyperbolic with Daniel, but Khalid definitely. Point is, how can he be overrated when he’s not rated much at all outside of his core and his peers who respects his artistry.

Exactly.. I’m trying to logically see how he can be seen as overrated, here.. unless all the artists with their own sections with their own fans hyping every little thing is considered overrated as well.
Yeah I don’t think he’s overrated at all. If anything, he gets way more love on Reddit, twitter, youtube, any other outlet really than here
This is the only site where I’ve seen people actually try to slander him as a person or say he’s overrated. He’s usually constantly considered one of the best things to happen to music in quite some time
The only artists that I genuinely feel are overrated on here is Griselda
Jan 9, 2021Frank is 4/4 on projects, has received love from old school legends like Andre 3K to current superstars like Drake, Kanye & Kendrick. Why should anyone who considers him their favourite artist or think Blonde was really good be vilified for it? It's perfectly reasonable and okay.
Maybe put an artist who hasn't been consistent yet receives insurmountable love on this site.

Frank is one of those artists that the internet/Twitter will try to persuade you in thinking that he’s bigger/better than he actually is but it doesn’t translate in actual streams or public perception

Out of all these I gotta go with Future.
Lil Baby isn’t even a question cus he’s so consistent.
Frank doesn’t even drop. But when he does he’s good (even tho I found blonde kinda boring compared to CO)
Future hasn’t innovated at all and has been repeating the same formula for years to me. But every time he drops we eat it up.
