probably none tbh
we influence them not the other way round
Nah I think at least one or two will break through with a Tik Tok song or something but their accents will keep them from blowing up on this side
Next? Implying there was one who did? Skepta introduced Americans to Grime circa 2015, but I wouldn’t say he “blew up” . I don’t know if one could blow up in the US. With Drake or Tory or Nav; the voice and lingo really isn’t too different than American rappers (except when Drake pretends he’s Jamaican)
They would have to be super catchy and good at rapping. And they would have to be someone people in the US naturally vibe with. Most people in the US would say the same type of s*** Ak’s comment section say when they hear British rappers. And all the UK drill fans saying s*** like “Americans Stole our style!” Wouldn’t help change that... I f*** with UK rap more than most people, I was just Bumping Black The Ripper the other night (Rest In Peace! First UK rapper I ever heard.) but most people aren’t jacking any UK s*** like that.
Especially the Drill. I fw alotta the Grime s*** and Newer s*** like Tracey and Section, but UK drill is ass besides a few Spartans songs maybe.
You got to be Somali gassing Dutchavelli
lmao not at all G but thats hilarious shout out to my somaali's tho
slowthai but idk how much the NME awards has affected that cause before that he was getting huge looks
was actual upset he did that because i been following for quite bit now and everything up till then was great
it had to be someone imitating American sound like iggy was or how now kid laroi is doing now

Two Australians.
Looks like Australia knows how to get noticed

Australia keep taking W's
Doubt any UK rapper with truly blow up in the US anytime soon, but here are some okay guesses:
AJ Tracey - versatile, already has collabed with American artists, great melodies, people are kinda listening to Rain rn, Drake cosign
Dave - versatile, branded as lyrical and conscious so can kinda follow a Stormzy route, some people been bumping Location, previous Drake collab, Drake cosign
Young Adz - don't think D-Block can really blow as a group, but Adz is great melodically, has collabed with American artists, and is someone who could get some feature spots on a hook and use that to blow
Lancey Foux - doesn't really sound super British, music relies much more on sound than lyrics (i know lancey's lyrics aren't meaningless they're just not a focus), carti cosign/feature, potential memeability
I love Simz and drill so much, but she's not super melodic and American women who rap about s*** like Simz have a hard enough blowing over here. GREY AREA AOTY 2019 tho. And for drill, I don't think the mainstream will ever get on board with hearing a bunch of British teenagers rap about stabbing opps. As great as the music is, there's a reason BK drill popped off and UK drill didn't over here. Artists like Loski or Digga that have attempted to move into the UK mainstream still don't have a sound that is Americanized enough to even be listenable for most fans over here.
it's just so hard for UK artists in the US, just look at how much KTT clowns any UK rapper without giving them a chance. So many casual listeners are gonna hear the accent and be turned off. Really sucks tho cause the UK has kinda been outperforming the US recently when it comes to quality.
edited: added links to songs i can kinda see people here f***ing with
probably none tbh

Very true statement that cannot possibly be proven false by objective facts of the last 60 years!
Britain: literally starts rock music
Guy on ktt: no American could ever be influenced by a British person

in terms of rap....besides uk drill little to no influence
skepta whenever he stops picking struggle beats
Skepta's damn near 40 now. Hes finished
he could have done it but was too loyal to his friends with that very issue, beats
