Tipu Sultan, a muslim king from India & freedom fighter against British imperialism in what is modern day (India/Pakistan/Bangladesh).
1. At the age of 15, Tipu Sultan led 3000 men and supported his father in the first battle of Mysore against the British in 1766.
2. Tipu is credited as the pioneer of Rocket Technology in India. Realizing the power of western science and technology, Tipu brought engineers, gun makers, clock makers and others from France to Mysore. Then, he established his own manufacturer of bronze cannons, muskets and ammunition.
3. He killed a wild tiger with a dagger, earning him the name “Tiger of Mysore”. According to the legend, the tiger pounced on a French soldier in front of Tipu and killed him. When Tipu Sultan tried to kill the animal, his gun did not work and his dagger fell on the ground. The tiger jumped on him and was about to maul him when Tipu picked up his dagger and killed it.
He later had an animatronic robot created in honour of the incident and kept it at his palace. When you wind up the tiger’s pulley, it begins mauling the French soldier:
Any sort of charismatic apocalyptic/messianic religious leader, especially if there is also a political component
