Listening tot that new Durk album and it feels like a long ass track w a change of pace here and there
Where is the diversity and creativity nowadays? Why every (mainstream) hiphop album nowadays feels like a long ass track/playlist w/o something unique? This why rap slowly dying out
You knew what durk was going to be giving you, this isn’t a reflection on rap as a whole
S***, you're lucky if you can tell the hook from the verse on some of these songs. Beats run together. Boring features. No strong concepts. All about how much music you can put out. Shorter album cycles. Rush jobs. Haven't heard Durk tho
Anyway, Prof is the white Dababy and his album doesn't have this problem.

rap is not slowly dying out, you just listening to the wrong side of it
Honestly I been thinking this for the past couple years. Outside of the big artist like Drake and Kendrick no one is pushing themselves anymore they just keep phoning in the same recycled style
Then to make matters worse we got half rap fans so jaded they say you shouldn't expect good music everytime and as long as it's decent or average they eat it up. The bar is in hell for hip-hop rn I can't believe It's Only Me and Jackman got the praise they did
These can't be the same rap fans that grew up with GKMC or MBDTF albums because every album felt like a movie and every song hit, now they playlists with the same producers and features

Prof got dropped from his label because his DJ was raping underage girls and he knew and did nothing until the story went public
Keep that

Jack Harlow's DJ shot a lady in front of him.
Pretty sure we've got receipts several rappers were passing around Bhad Bhabie when she was underage. Stay consistent.
Nigga said Drake like this doesn't apply to the last 2 albums he dropped
Yeah man cause honestly never mind had no change in beats or melody

to be fair HNVM and Her Loss were steps in the right directions
first what were you expecting from lil durk really to begin with
second maybe it’s just me but a lot of times when i listen to something for the first time a lot of it blends together you gotta give it time for everything to stick out
Why does food all taste like one long hot dog these days every time I order a hotdog it’s like f*** bro food is all the same
