I like her. But I feel like a lot of people already passed on her after hearing the album.

I don't get it, I think it was a nice debut.

What You Did has done well streaming and that’s an Ella (and Oh Boy) stimulus. She’s doing fine

I just think R&B is not that big rn and their music isn’t catchy enough to cross over

They don’t have Boo’d Up yet

i get what you mean. they probably have some performing arts school background, that can do that to some performers. when they seem over rehearsed compared to other artists

it does help some artists tho tbf like it probably gave Nicki a lot of the skills that made her great

Didn’t ever think about Nicki going to art school but it makes sense

Her singing kinda sounds theatrical and she’s like a drama queen

yeah and i haven't seen them, but isn't she in actual films too lol?

she did like drama, but so many of the best artists at building a whole world round their music go to art school like Kanye and M.I.A.. they don't become painters or film makers, but it probably helps them put their own mark on everything they put out

She did Barbershop 3 and voiced a character in Ice Age.

Because these days you can't make it big in the music industry as a black woman without acting like a s***obsessed degenerate

Stop. Janelle Monae became more popular w/o a Bey cosign and she was wearing a suit 24/7.

i find it hard to judge actors cos so much goes into it and they usually don't get much creative control compared to some of our favourite artists.

But even if she's bad at it, the experience of going to school for it probably helped give her that theatrical and visual edge she's been known for

Idk, but i wish them further success in the future. I'll probably check their music out more eventually

  • Aug 31, 2020

I liked their debut but like what others say they lack starpower especially cause they’re a group

  • Aug 31, 2020

They just starting to pop off it seems like. Give them time and they will be huge. I loved their latest album

they feel so fake they move like robots or something s***s crazy

well they learned from Beyonce. She's known to not show her personality and be too robotic sometimes

The Beyonce cosign is great, but it's not really "gigantic" like @op said. If this was 2013 or 14 I could see. But Bey is getting up there in age and the new gen would be more pushed from an Ariana or Drake cosign.

But they don't really make the most mainstream music anyway, so they're doing really good for what/who they are

I just never see her as a character, just a Nicki cameo

All I see is Beyoncé didn't work with them or Rihanna.
