  • Many music listeners will spend hours decrying streaming or bragging about their black box of unreleased/comp music and support stealing artist IP but are the first to invoke it against AI

    Is this because piracy (small guy steal from little guy?)

    And AI (big guy steal from small artist)?

    You would most online artists would be against this as it would prevent them from making money off their own intellectual property

    and indirectly piracy and what it did is why there can't be a real unified music industry stance against ai lol

  • I don't think most music listeners are pirating music. Most music listeners are using streaming services.

    niggas in here acting stupid and i hope @op don't make me look crazy by turning out to be an ai account

    but piracy whether in a past tense of taking the money out of the industry to begin with or the fact that streaming was the industry's only fighting chance against what piracy did to album sales and the cash flow of the industry are definitely correlated

    not even getting into leaks although you could so those don't count if they not officially released...although that gets into leak culture and songs not coming out once they are leaked but that's not our individual fault

    Pirated media != lost revenue
    in the majority of cases.
    There are many people who pirate that simply choose not to listen/watch if the only way to do so is by paying.

  • i think these are two different topics completely lol
