Like Roe v Wade happened nearly 50 years ago, give it up already
Also, i feel the pro choice crowd is more successful at trying to prevent abortions from even happening in the first place, way more than the pro life crowd(due to the pro life crowd not supporting providing birth control, or comprehensive s***education)
It just seems like the pro life crowd is more a cover to punish women for having s**
religion usually
also ur argument for pro-choice people being more anti-abortion makes no sense in terms of how people use the word "anti-abortion" irl
it comes down to whether
you value life more than choice
i value choice more than life
and so i am pro choice
some value life more than choice
and so that is where they stand
whether their intentions or motivations are pure or not

I mean anti abortion as the ones trying to prevent abortions from being necessary in the first place
Also, who gives a flying f*** about religion in 2021, were not a theocracy, religion should never dictate public law
OP religion still has a stranglehold on society. We’re literally in the infant stages being a more free minded society that isn’t always strapped by religious beliefs

& this here is great news
We have a separation of church and state in the constitution, religion should play no role in society

Niggas still swear on a bible in court
you’re right
“pro lifel doesn’t make sense cos everyone is pro life
these freaks don’t even want sexual education in school
they don’t give a s*** about police brutality or any of that stuff
Louis Ck had a good joke about it but it comes down to religion in part but mostly whether you value life or choice. To some people it's literally killing a baby, to some it's a choice on if you should be allowed to let or not let life into this world. Neither are 100% wrong.
Niggas still swear on a bible in court
Not legally, no one is required to swear on the bible, its personal preference actually
I know like for exmaple Ilhan Omar got sworn in on the Qaran, and I think at least two us presidents got sworn in on law books

While I agree with separation of church and state I think it’s obvious based on history that it was more of a formality. I still think we’re a long ways away from this being the true status quo. Also even as a non religious person I still feel religion has value but it’s all about respecting the beliefs of each individual.

Their are pros & cons to organized religion
Created a sense of hope and community
But has led to wars for over a millennia
Damn I just always assumed that jawn was a bible
Even one of the most moderate dems dont use the bible

Oh yeah for sure fam. Definitely not in the traditional sense but I think religion is important to a lot of people because it’s an easy set of guidelines to live by where “””generally””” they live to be good people. Obviously it doesn’t always work out like that and I’d say a lot of religion has been compromised throughout history but for example my family is religious and it helps them make sense out of life so I don’t judge them for it

right, but no one regularly uses the word "anti-abortion" in that way bc we all know it to mean something much more obvious given the connotations and social associations attached to that word/phrase
anywho i can't answer ur stellar criticism of religion in 2021, i'm just telling you why some people are pro-life
Damn I just always assumed that jawn was a bible
even more presidents than i thought

Its just i hate when people say being religious=moral
Tell that to all people that were sexually abused by Catholic priests, and whom were never held accountable
its weird also cus you can be anti-abortion and still pro-choice. Just worry about yourself and let others make the choice for themselves. Even if abortions were illegal they'd still happen so might as well be safest about it
it really comes down to what the above post said: people can't mind their business

Yeah like I said there is a mixed bag when it comes to religion and morality because really you’re blindly following the guidelines of whatever you practice. I guess I’m speaking from more of a personal experience but I like to believe that there is a good portion of people who utilize religion to live morally correct. Unfortunately when you’re blindly leading the masses without question it leaves a lot of opportunity to take advantage of them
