    I was at a restaurant picking up my takeout order, there were 7 other people waiting line and I was the only one wearing a mask

    Someone I know did the exact same thing you did (went to get takeout and was surrounded people without masks) and he actually got covid from that. Not trying to scare you or anything but if you feel any symptoms in the coming days get tested

    I think you know the answer. Many are ridiculously stubborn and egotistic, especially here in the United States. They go overboard on their perceived "freedoms" as if having to wear a mask to protect themselves is somehow revoking their freedom. It's a toxic first-world problem.

    The concept of being required to wear a mask right now is almost exactly like wearing a seatbelt

    The chances of you getting into a crazy car accident are prolly slim but you still put on that seatbelt first thing when you hop in the car w no complaints about your freedom..
