i do gotta ask you how the f*** you can come to the conclusion that the internet makes you more ignorant tho lmao
yes you can get sucked into a narrow world view, but its not like you're actually less ignorant to s*** happening in the world by never using the internet
ignorant to what? be specific
I mean that people here claim to be better than everybody, yet the country has all kinds of bigotry issues among other things that could be eliminated by watching a few YouTube videos for example
but apparently I think I'm better than everyone for saying this

too much access to misinformation
There are lot of factors
It depends on how they were raised, where they live/lived, what they experienced growing up, their family, friends, religion, and education
America is a big place and a lot of states have different major industries that affect their economy, which causes people to think a certain way when it comes to their money and issues
A lot of people still live in a bubble even with the internet so it’s still going to influence what they believe is true or not, regardless of how much information is available to them on the internet

ohh
I mean having the internet is a double sided sword or whatever. Because whatever you believe, there's probably a community of people that will validate that belief. That's exactly how Trump supporters found Qanon conspiracy theories on 4chan and made it a movement

man said youtube could end bigotry
YouTube can be an educational tool, yes
But clearly you wanted to interpret that in the worst possible way
The pitfall of the internet is that you can easily get sucked into misinformation or echo chambers that just further solidify things you believe even if it's wrong.
That being said, the internet has still raised the entire quality of life and level of intelligence of the population.
for every relatively true thing that might be on the internet there's a thousand twists and manipulations to be made,
and also we lack critical thinking as people, and when you on some hive belief s*** / echo chamber you immediately become stupider and lazy because you're not asking yourself if it makes sense to YOU personally. you're just going on with someone telling u what u wanna hear

plus its money in misleading folks...
pay more for this.... buy this product to be pretty, get all the girls if you wear this... this will make u cool, this is the truth, be scared, we're the only people telling the truth everything else is fake type s***
This is such a dumb question when there is so much fake news online.
it's a such a dumb question yet not everybody online is a bigot
