ram we wanna kno how much u make a year
I feel like some lurkers and weirdos will target people with some numbers they post.
I can just say I made over 50k a year last year. Now it's less with me starting freelancing by myself.

I’m not. I openly tell anyone who asks what my salary is, how I got here, where my money is at the moment. Idc
I remember when I first started working all the old geezers wanted to be hush hush about how much everyone was getting paid. Why? That only helps the people paying us lol

you'll get a target over your head if you tell the wrong people, but generally people should just let it fly.

I’m a CRNA in NYC. I make around 20k every month after taxes. Started as a new grad ICU RN making 95k, went back to school for my DNP after working for 3 years.
I don’t have a savings account. Have around 60k in checking and everything else is in stocks or property.
I don’t play a risky game with stocks cus I’m not in a “get rich quick” position. I’m fine buying and holding long term s*** like Apple and JPM. I wasn’t too big on crypto but I had a big hit getting in on chain link when it was under $3 and eventually went up to $50+.
I own a condo in jersey that I rent out, 3 apartments overseas, and I’m renting in NYC while I figure out where I wanna settle down.
My advice to young folks in high school is to go to college on a mission. I knew exactly what I wanted to do the second I touched down and made it happen. I heavily researched careers and found something that aligned with what I want as far as scheduling/salary/benefits/etc goes.
For my older people it’s a slower grind but just be smart. Of course it’s always better to actually put the time in to learn the market before investing. Personally I never took the time to actually learn stocks and crypto and all that. I just follow the advice of friends that I trust to know their s***.

Nah my mom (single mom) is in finance but I didn’t want to go that route
Nobody in my family worked healthcare I just fell in the love with the idea of making your own schedule and working 3 days a week for good pay and then I learned about all the possibilities for career advancement and how much money some advanced nursing specialties make

I was distraught going into college bro. I didn’t want to do anything. Eventually said let me just find something I can tolerate that’ll make good money and have a lot of time off
Law is fire though. I probably would’ve liked going to law or med school but it takes so long for those careers to get up and running. I just wanted to graduate with a bachelors and work for a few years
