DaeHanI just revisited this album, and it’s quality throughout.
The intro is a banger and the rest of the album holds up.
Was it simply because it didn’t sound like The Chronic or 2001?
These are the 3 best songs on the album and makes me want to do 100+ on the freeway and slap a nigga
These 3 plus Animals are the tracks I still listen too today

Half the album is amazing
The other half is meh or just blends together
Still tho, 7 fantastic tracks and 4 i still listen in rotation - i think there is only one or two actually bad songs

Jul 17, 2024The delivery of the lyrics dated as f***. I actually liked the production but I grew up in the black church where gospel chops and bass runs and s*** is normal. The mixing was somewhat weird for what is normal for a Dre production.
Not a bad album but a middle of the road album

Jul 17, 2024It's a solid album, but obviously nowhere near Chronic or 2001, nor did it meet the Detox hype.
Good album. Sometimes Dre's new flow sounds too modern though. I miss 2001 Dre.
