1. the hook wasn’t trash but it definitely could have been stronger
2. we’re sort of seeing rn neither drake or dababy are having the most staying power rn when it comes to a single. the same reason a lot of big artists are pulling back rn.
3. the virus took everyone’s attention from everything and this song wasn’t able to fully implant in the public consciousness before everything shifted. that’s less of yachtys fault and just the unfortunate situation every artist is dealing with. now is not a good time to debut your new single that has potential. streaming numbers are down, even though everyone is at home.
