Because we live in a world where everything moves fast and we have to consume s*** a lot faster than maybe in the 90's.

Add that to the fact that a lot more high profile albums are dropping in a short time than they used to.

In the 90's Naughty By Nature would drop and nobodoy with a name would drop until like 6 months later

Streaming made the possibility of albums staying much harder. It's always on to the next thing now with rare exceptions. Scorpion and Baby on baby being some of them.

because its forgettable (just like everything else cole has dropped since 2014 FHD)

  • It didn’t come and go. How many times does it have to be stated that just because your couple of your buddies aren’t talking about it doesn’t mean it came and went. S*** is still doing well.

Bruh from 94-97 every year was packed with high profile album releases

I mean...everything kinda comes and goes now. It's just that, online, people play favorites.

IRL, I haven't heard a single person acknowledge WLR's existence. Not one. And I know many people. Yet, on KTT2, it's like a modern Thriller apparently.

But, regardless of how we feel about Cole's album, it's still sitting on the charts and selling fine, so I don't think it totally disappeared. It's just going through the same cycle as most albums in this era.

    it was incredibly average
