shivIf you’re young then I get buying fakes cause you’re probably new to the fashion world and just wanna show off etc etc. But once you’re really into it for a while I absolutely don’t understand buying fakes at all. Are you buying clothes for you or to show off for others? Saying “I just like the design” is such a lie people tell themselves, damn near every hyped piece people lust over has a reasonably priced alternative.
I'm not for fakes but simply pointing out the fact that there's alternatives isnt an actual argument to deter people from wanting to buy fakes.

and went and copped these s***s I think regular Chicago 1’s would be the affordable alternative to the off white 1’s. You don’t have to pay resale on anything, I’ve never paid resale for sneakers. If I miss the drop I miss it, I’ve missed plenty. Sometimes I get lucky, that’s the game

I get it, but the problem is most people like the item and don't care for the game.
The "affordable" option like you said is the Chicago's and them s***s $400+ even when they ran into the ground.
I don't think people buying rep shoes is a case of them not being able to afford the shoe either I bet shipping from china costs a decent amount on top of $150. That's more than retail for Jordan 1s.
If I were to buy a newer pair of jordan 1s or any other model getting through the apps, I'm grabbing fakes.
If $500 fakes are sliding through multiple verification services on the regular, It's already a gamble trying to obtain a "real" pair. Never bought a pair and don't think I will, but I'm not against it at all.

You can get Dunk’s or OW Presto’s and some shoes like that for maybe $130 shipped, around there... the bulkier shoes like AJ1’s, FoG’s are like $150-$200 after shipping... the “smaller” shoes are like $120
I actually got my Sacai Waffle’s for $110 shipped I think.

It’s not even about getting them “cheap”
As I’ve said multiple times.... I don’t want to buy reps... I would GLADLY pay the retail price for a real pair ALL DAY
