The album comes out with all of those songs with features from Drake, Playboi Carti, and Uzi, and still flopped ?Not 1 song off the album is in his top songs on streaming and nowhere to be found on the billboard charts. Album sold 80k first week and isnt even close to gold yet. Where did he go wrong

There was a massive amount of hype going into this project, the snippets were already trending and Miss The Rage performed really well, Trippie had the most amount of buzz around him in the runup to TAK since the X/69 days
Ultimately, I think that the Hyperpop/Rage beats sound grows stale fast. There's a reason that they work well as bitesize snippets but then not as a full cohesive body-of-work
I still respect him for committing to that sound for a full-length project, and it certainty was a moment for him, but I guess the gimmickyness of the beats could never establish enough longevity for it to be revisited
Beyond that, post-ALLTY3 Trippie really struggles with quality-control and all his projects subsequently feel a bit slapdash

I can't knock the project too much either in fairness
I actually really like it, and when I replay it I still enjoy it - plus he executed a tour off it so there is an audience rocking with it
Just also ended up being overshadowed by Donda and the other major releases at the end of summer
