these are always so funny to me
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tGSGRuLGL6oYea this is funny but i know people can use this type of stuff on some crazy shidd
I can’t f***ing stand puppeteering dead people.
In MJs case, they videotaped an impersonator dancing and did some terrible CGI on the face.
It’s just an overly complicated way of watching an impersonator.
Abba had one and it's very dope
!https://youtu.be/iEikjzZO2N8You really gotta nail the execution with these shows otherwise it easily becomes an uncanny valley thing (which it is). I've been to vtuber concerts (virtual anime person performing) and the accompanying visuals needs to be great too. We are getting there but the tech is still new honestly
Vtuber concerts? Imagine the smell

Gene Simmons already announced they got one for Kiss coming soon produced by the same ppl that did the ABBA one
You're paying $200 to see a projector mimic a dead guy while they press play on an MP3 and it looks like s*** from every angle except head on... who would be dumb enough to pay for that
They are expensive. That’s why otherwise these predatory companies would have a Tupac/biggie joint tour every year.
The Pac one from a few years ago was dope. Would’ve loved to have seen more like MJ, Prince, Whitney Houston, Elvis, etc. 🤷🏾♂️
!https://youtu.be/TGbrFmPBV0Y?si=b6Se4sdLJfezqwYqThis s*** is so sus looking back honestly I think they got snoop and Dre to sign off on this bc the speculative value of technology like this was too enticing in 2012 not to be the first on board. No way they'd do this s*** now
They realized the festival holograms weren’t gon be it
Now in the living room….
Living room concerts HAVE to be the next wave
I’d pay a premium for that

Lmao yup

I’d pay for that tour 🤷🏾♂️
Advertising it as a live performance is creepy but I’d definitely take the opportunity go to Glow In The Dark Tour in holographic VR or some s***. It has to be marketed as damn near some video game esque experience s*** that’s not tryna replace an actual performance for it to take off. People are touchy about holograms/AI like we aren’t already curating our own hologram/digital avatar with the information we’ve given to our phones and social media since the early 2010’s
One day we'll ask why this didn't take off 🤞
https://twitter.com/Variety/status/1766152580349002022Ye ruined made it weird with the whole Rob and Kim thing. Also NIN uses them during live sets.

Expensive, complicated, ethical concerns, and the viewing angles are pretty limited.
the ABBA one makes a s*** ton of money
