It sure is bizarre how you hear about crypto scams in the scale of thousands everyday and people just casually get away. Then you got no insurance or any safety on that. So somehow crypto that was meant to be so secure feels just doesnt feel safe

Try millions to billions of dollars lol. There was a crypto project, wonderland, where the creators literally scammed in public and people just accept it.

No, but there’s still a lot of people that think crypto can self regulate and I don’t understand how

Well of course, it's the wild west right now. They'll always have scams and traps in any avenue but it has ramped up bc it's just now emerging. As long as the authentic ones hold it down and protect the tech it'll regulate. You gotta think of at least a year from now, then form an opinion.

I know it's a meme, but this is actually early in the game

That’s not self regulation lmao. Assuming you’re talking about eth and Bitcoin. The whole purpose of eth in itself is to create a decentralized ecosystem with decentralized apps. Without regulation, these dapp devs can literally decide one day f it and rug the project then just start another project and do the same thing since it’s anon. There’s paid shills that promote outright scams to innocent people, VCs doing pump and dumps, etc. so please tell me how that’s self regulation. It’s easy af to create a dapp and there’s no rhyme or reason. It’s not like coins with actual real world utility get the glory.

No need for corrupt government regulation in a free market with lots of competition, its way better for the consumer this way and will lead to more innovation and growth + efficiency.

So I’m supposed to trust corrupt and greedy crypto bros instead. 🤔🤔 which ones do I trust? The whales? The ones that dump on normies? The Bitcoin maxis? The VCs? The random dude in his basement that’s managing a semi centralized protocol of billions of dollars with no credentials, or maybe I should trust the devs who develop code that breaks and gets hacked to the tune of 500 million with no way of getting it back🤔🤔🤔. Yea aight😂😂😂😂. Y’all some clowns and that’s pure greed talking
