and the worst part is this doesnt apply to strangers, but close relatives and ppl like that....I've seen ppl deadass feel better having me live off em and put em at a disadvantage than having me pay em back in full and get my s*** together

Lot of different reasons. Jealousy. Fear that your relationship will suffer since they aren't as noticeably vital to your wellbeing. Being reminded of their own failed ambitions. Maybe your newfound success has made you more confident and that confidence is being perceived as arrogance. Could be any of that or none of it. Idk. read a psychology book you emotionally, financially stable f***.
