People have long discredited Travis' musical capiblities because he never actually "writes" or produces" yet Kanye has been doing the same thing for years. Nobody has ever questioned Kanye's musical ability, despite time and time again, whether through his own word or leaks, it's been shown he's re -recorded entire reference tracks, and has admitted in a interview that he doesn't actually produce anymore and has his team do it.

He quite literally said all he does is go up to the mic and his team makes it work. So why is everyone silent? Travis' is a fraud for not producing or writing, yet Kanye isn't? Don't think there has ever been a case where Travis has
simply re recorded a reference track with the exception of Pick up the Phone like Kanye with 30 Hours, Violent crimes etc.

Kanye’s proved he actually does stuff tho and he’s an all time great producer and artist. He’s written and produced a lot of his best songs (and other peoples songs)...and he’s intimately involved in processes where he doesn’t do those too

there’s definitive proof Kanye at least started out making beats on his own at the beginning of his career before others started helping.

meanwhile, there have been various accusations against Travis about him stealing beats & claiming credit since at least 2012, and whatever beats he may have produced were never used by anyone, so Travis was never actually able to identify as a producer in the first place bc he never produced for anyone.

that’s why it’s okay for Kanye to not write his own raps, bc he was a producer who transitioned into rapping. Travis was never a producer & doesn’t write his own raps. he’s basically as much of a rapper as Ariana Grande is.
