It depends, I really enjoy Pop rap (I mean the Lupe, Drake, T.I) but pop music in general us trash. The older hits are only good for nostalgic purposes.

Really the only reason pop music does well due to the accessibility and easy listen. Otherwise the major drawback of this genre is the songs get old quick
