industry plants dont matter in pop, hip hop is built on authenticity, so obviously someone faking their style/come up is looked down on

A lot of big artists in modern hip hop are industry plants. (Not really a bad thing) Kanye, Drake, Travis for example. Authenticity never really mattered to the fanbase
