Mixed feelings on him. I think he has become a much more respectable artist in the last year or so. Flow is nice and he can rap.

However, his early career came off as generic underground boom bap rappers like Immortal Technique, Necro, JMT s*** from the 2000s. Plus, that MAGA apologist track that blew up was awful. Every Trump supporter paraded that track as a "See? My Point of view isn't so bad if ya listen to this!"

“lyrical rappers saying nothing”. That’s the point. Trav and Carti are self aware, saying catchy nonsense over fire beats. That’s their lane. “Lyrical” rappers saying less-catchy nonsense over worse beats doesn’t cut it. If it’s both gonna be nonsense, ima listen to the one that sounds better.
