People like to act like humans are above animalistic s*** because we have a more developed consciousness/brain, but we're not THAT much more evolved.

People in general are shallow, selfish...they're just looking for people or things to improve their situation. Yeah compassion is important in some aspects because we evolved to be able to empathize with those around us so the group could succeed, but the human ego is inherently selfish as well. It's kinda contradictory.

Theres a whole lot of animalistic instincts that we haven't evolved out of that we developed to survive in past eras. Having smart phones and cars and s*** doesn't change the fact that we're really just apes.

We can be so much more than 'animals' but some simply delude themselves into believing they are better than one without actually looking within and realising their constraints. Even still while we remain as flesh theres only so much advancing one can do, we're still held captive by our biological urges and desires. You just have to gain as much control as you can over the negative/unwanted aspects and embrace and enjoy the positive ones. Never stop striving to be better.

There are still societies out there that prioritize doing your part for the greater good of your people. I'm not sure how it is now, but Native American tribes were like this.

Our society, especially the United States, is egocentric and selfish due to what's marketed to us. Advertisements are focused on the idea that you're greater than everyone else around you, so you should buy all this stuff to show off. Even the headlines about team sports revolve around just one player and not the whole team. Think LeBron James.

    Nike:
BE GREAT. BE LEGENDARY. YOU CAN BE BETTER THAN EVERYONE ELSE AROUND YOU.

We are mammals. Quite literally just like any living thing on this earth

Idk why people think we are different in that sense, we only are on top of the animal kingdom because our brains advanced and we are able to use it to make tools to get us ahead

Why is every thread stupid as f***

Only cause of racism, white people love all breeds of dogs but if we apply that concept to humans then white people wouldnt have an excuse to hate minorities
