By doing this you are creating a way for white people to use the same argument against black people

“Black people didn’t experience it so they can’t comment on it”

And we already know the kinds of whites who would say some s*** like that, same ones who hate when Lebron speaks on political issues

This isn’t only about black people . This is about the people who was raised in soft ass neighborhoods with wealthy middle-upper class parents feeling like their opinions matter on black issues , rap artist, etc . Y’all suck Nas and Kendrick d*** but never experienced anything remotely close to what they rap about . Y’all hate on Durk and Von but don’t know what living in the hood is like . Y’all suck Kanye dry when he rap that bullshit and is screaming maga , and talk s*** to fans who been listening College dropout who just want that old Ye back . Y’all say Hov sucks but never had to do anything remotely close to what Hov had to do . My question is what makes y’all soft asses think y’all got the right to speak on black people who experiences doesn’t mirror yours one bit ?

Yeah, I am saying that. I’m not from a higher socio economic class. My mother is an immigrant. My point, is that if this poster is venting frusturation, better to direct it towards the idea of socio economic disparity in general, rather than making it about white / black, as though a person being white and living in the suburbs precludes them from having experiences that allows them to accurately relate to those from different socioeconomic positions, as though because they didn’t suffer their opinion is invalidated.

There’s truth to this but focusing on it in a forum populated mostly by white people who idolize black people is unproductive.

Ok this classist. People have problems no matter their financial position or skin color. People are people, everyone is entitled to an opinion. This mindset is extremely limiting. I see you’re angry, thinking like this has to be frusturating.

    Lol

I’m sorry but this isn’t classist

Suburb = an outlying district of a city, especially a residential one.

    Suburb does not mean affluence

I get what ur saying my g but music is music bro, people will like s*** that they relate to and s*** they don't relate to.

And whatever the artist decides to rap about, it's opens themselves up for criticism even if said critic doesn't come from the same background as the artist he or she is talking about.

Edit: Now with actual black issues, that's a whole different story.
