It’s not that hard to get a six figure job, sometimes you don’t even have to go to college !
Whether you think it's hard or not for the other 90% of people it takes a lot of work to get there

Ok so here’s the path
1. Go to the public education system paid for by the government
2. Do what you are supposed to do and be a student in school
3. Finish the pre-collegiate education system (is this supposed to be hard?)
4. Either begin training up or skilling up or working or begin pursuing collegiate education - is money an issue? 2 years of community college and then two years at a public institution the loans are truly an investment
5. Begin working in a computer associated field because what the f*** else are you going to do unless you wanna be an HVAC expert

1. Pick a field that you enjoy even 50%
2. Stick in that field for a while, take ownership of activities in the field
3. Build a portfolio or find someone to invest in you
that's the generic template
so now let's take it in the context of becoming a restaurateur
1. begin working small time line cook type positions, basic prep work, get better over a 6 month period,
2. move up the kitchen, by the mid of year 1 begin the specialize in something specific or begin to find a solid voice within the field (might take longer)
3. Find a potential enterprise and either hop in or start your own, find a restaurant that wants to take off and hop in as a driving force, invest in that force with time and see if the returns are worthwhile, regardless you're only going to gain more skills which could lead to a greater likelihood of more success down the road
keep the process moving, eventually you might own something of your own or have a strong enough voice to have others put their value into you
OP blind to his privileges
i had a friend who had no father growing up
we went to the same public high school, he graduated with a very good GPA, but couldn't afford college
instead he spent two years at community college and then transferred to a 4 year public college and graduated with some debt, but not as much as most idiots
now he works as a software developer and likely makes close to 6 figures

Yeah I did pretty much the same but my point is some people can’t just “go to school” lol. Most of the people I went to HS with were working jobs in HS and had to go full time after just to help the fam
aint gotta make bank to live a healthy life cuz
