But to add, the reason we get highlighted so much is due to how loudly conservative we are about it. From our genres (hip hop) to our places of worship (church) to our homes, we make it known that homosexuality aint ok.

We even talk ourselves into believing half truths from slavery (e.g. buck breaking) in order to somehow validate our opposition to homosexuality even when historians disagree.

And, ironically it gets critiqued more, cause we have this weird s*** where if you gay, then you aint really for the people or you a sellout. Loser ass Eldridge Cleaver wrote a whole chapter throwing shots at James Baldwin on Soul On Ice for “wanting to receive like a female.” (i swear this nigga was a fed) but then they ens up facing hella racism within the gay community. So they get marginalized back to back
