Oh okay I thought you were asking was I like 35 lol
I think we have a few of those ramifications too since we pretty much grew up with it

Yeah I agree, that's why there's such a generational gap now, like us in our 20's aren't the tik tok fortnite teenagers but we aren't the 35 year old millennials lol
Kanye said it was his superpower and he the most influential that time cover was just confirmation
I mean it is
The recession of the late 2000’s
nvm I get what you're saying now, what I meant is that I was born in a literally war-torn country but kids here are still somehow more depressed and anxious despite never having experienced such thing
I am GenZ and can tell you that the people who bragged about their anxiety, depression etc. where amongst the least popular in school.
I think it is because they are so unpopular that they
1. Self diagnose themselves to have a reason for their problems
2. find shelter in the internet amongst people similar to them
In conclusion it aint cool to have it and it is even less cool to treat it like this is your personality.

We don’t realize that these people were barely in middle school when social media usage on smart phones was a mainstream expectation
Dr. James Masterson, M.D., the first to develop a successful treatment for Borderline Personality Disorder, said “No one escapes childhood unscathed,” and followed that by saying everyone has some degree of personality disorder, and the question is not personality disorder yes, or no, but to what degree.
This is such a blanket statement. It can’t be proven false or true.
None of the personality disorders that we’ve identified and named fit me at all. I have no symptoms that create disorder in my life in regards to personality or anything psychological.
that statement is like saying not everyone is completely straight everyone is at least some percentage gay. Which in theory can’t be proven false.
oh wow i didn't expect you to name the disorders you did. i thought it would be like 'bipolar' or 'anxious' etc..
not sociopathic, but i do know exactly what you're talking about usually it's very edgy people who have this big shield up. Acting like they don't care about anything and everything works out in their favour are usually just capping
real sociopaths, narcissists will never let you know they are
It’s a stupid trend now.
Everyone posts s*** like “it’s ok to feel like x”
Or “if you have x it’s completely valid to feel and do y”
This is coming from people who took one intro to psych course and think they are experts
So cringey
Hate this so much and it’s always some dumb s*** like “it’s okay to feel like you don’t want to do anything” like no s***
These people take empathy and kindness for granted. I've struggled with both my entire life, it's not a good feeling to do things for a logical reason as opposed to being a genuine good hearted person. It makes for good decision making but I come off as insensitive.

It can be. We are all raised differently and in diffrent cultures/environments. It says how much. You can be little affected and that’s fine. And sexuality and personality are two completely different things. One can be molded the other you’re born with
I have no idea why suffering seems cool to some
what's fun about disorders? being a zombie on meds? feeling like a cog in the wheel of life? suicide? self-harm?
I have no idea what normal feels like so I'd like to know what makes disorders ''cool''
My theory is the average person experiences all of these things
The difference btwn a crazy person and a normal person is a crazy person is always crazy a normal person only occasionally loses their mind
It's cool because it's relatable

Agreed
S***s a shame
People using depression and s*** to be “cool”. S*** ain’t cool at all and I would love to not have depression
I was born during a war and my generation still seemed more emotionally stable growing up than 2000's kids.
When were you born and where?
For many, media portrayals or mental health make it look cool, mysterious or interesting.
For people on social media I don’t necessarily believe they think it’s cool but many of them feel validated that others know what they’re going through instead of keeping it to themselves.
The downsides of this is normal emotions like being sad, anxious etc are being made to look as if someone has mental health issues. It is okay to feel sad. Sadness is normal.
