I think a lot of it has to due with pacific/Asian wars throughout the 20th century and a lot of white men married women from those countries and brought them back to the US

Couple that with the stereotype (not sure if it’s entirely true or not) that Asian people look up to white people and will accept a white person as the only outside race to marry I think that’s why it’s pretty common

Idk for sure but white and asian are demographically most similar (based on income, etc.) so they're the most common interracial marriage. there's also negative sexual stereotypes around asian men that probably make white woman/asian men couples less common than white man/asian woman. it's true that there's a fetishization component for some, though I don't think it's fair to apply that label to all white men who date asian women.

ofc asians face lots of racism, but the historical "model minority" stereotype probably influences this trend too. compared to black and non-white hispanic, east asian is probably seen as the least difficult racial line to cross for whites

Ehh I’m not entirely sure of that. Asian people definitely put white people on a pedestal in my eyes. Obviously we’re talking more of the previous centuries as opposed to modern times
