i think that money should with all of the billionaires/lower class go into stocks with the middle. that way everyone will be able to get what the time owes, and also keep leftist propaganda out of neo-conservative camps. kamala spoke a good word on this

    Bill Ackman

I greatly prefer working for somebody else which pays me more than 99% of people my age and I don’t hold any of the risk involved with the business failing.

Ownership of production is cool and all if you live in a world where businesses magically always succeed no matter circumstances lmao

Starting, maintaining, and succeeding with your own business is incredibly hard, risky, and not worth the troubles to do so

No s*** starting a business is hard and risky for proletariats with no generational wealth to fall back on or significant means of production to their name Use ur brain juices a bit harder and u'll figure it out on ur own my G

you can’t make a billion dollars yourself

you can own the means of making a billion dollars but the fact that it goes to you instead of the people who make that billion dollars means you’re a b****

What if i am the greatest artist of all time (sorry drake) and create artpieces that people are willing to pay top dollar for and i amass over a billion dollars in my career?

    How am i exploiting anybody

just to add onto my previous reply and to sell you on market socialism a bit. There are proposed models where the initial capital put up by the business founder(s) is returned to them with interest after the firm becomes profitable. Until then, the founder retains authoritative control until he see’s a return on his investment. At that point, shares of the company are then distributed to the workers and the firm democratizes.

So running a company like a government

Do you see how imperfect a democratic system is and also inefficient? There’s been plenty of examples in government when a technocratic approach proved most useful. You need a centralized authority when we’re talking about efficiency.

The military is probably the most efficient example of how an organization is run. A top down pyramid of authority is necessary.

Having a too decentralized decision and strategy making process would slow down productivity and hurt growth.

Please explain how this wouldn’t be the case in scenario you describe. (I ask respectfully/without snark)

Although this sounds like a good idea in practice why would a founder agree to have his ownership taken from him and distributed to people who put up far less risk in building the company

Hard to say. I would imagine federal law would have to come into play. Of course, capitalists would still have incentive to create or invest in businesses through getting return of the initial investment with interest.
