    makes sense

  • Vince’s last 2 albums clicked for me a good while after they were released. Easily his best projects. I thought they were alright for a while, listening to em occasionally here and there, then once Ramona Park clicked I went back to his self titled and man…I stand on them being classic. So many bars and top tier rapping front to back on both of those. RPBMH is album of the decade so far by far

cant expect to fully understand or connect with everything on your first impression. especially for exploring different types of music. if you've never heard a song from a genre before odds are there's more to appreciate beneath the surface that takes time to understand

also affected by things like mood, how much youre paying attention, setting, how open minded you are

multiple listens is the key to expanding your taste and enjoying more music. don't just let your first impression reign supreme on everything by just listening one time and saving the song if you like it (IMO)

  • For me personally it mainly is timing with songs/albums just how i’m feeling at that particular moment
