Because he’s always taken risks in all sorts of ways (lyrically, subject-matter, production, visually, who he collaborates with)

None of his albums sound like a rehash of his previous one and when he does borrow elements from his previous work he always does it in a way that’s almost paying homage to himself (and there aren’t many artists I can name that can do that).

He’s never been afraid to make the music he wants to make.

You know everything Kanye makes is coming from the soul. It’s all so good but also all so different. The artistry is genius level... Drake could never

TLOP is definitely going to be considered a classic Kanye album. Thematically, the album centers his bipolar mind-state (for the first time in a more overt way) and mirrors it in the tensions / duality inherent in his "faith journey." That alone makes for cool listening and material that's rich for a***ysis. The erratic rollout and post-release editing not only reflect the theme, but were a first in the digital era - showing how an album could truly be a time capsule for an era / a work in progress. Stadium release at MSG was just the cherry on top.

Fire all around. Only thing holding it back is that it wasn't a no doubter commercial / mainstream success. But I think in the future people will look back on it as a pivotal moment in his career.

Won't go to bat for KSG as a classic at this point, but I think TLOP is getting there.

Cuz it's the best music on the planet

It's human, sometimes he's degrading other times he's uplifting. Sometimes he's angry other times he's sad, he reflects humanity so well and that's why I'm drawn to it. It slaps too
